William’s Farm Stand is a locally owned business in Cicero, New York, about a 17 minute drive from the heart of Syracuse. They have an ice cream stand where you can walk up and order, and also a market on the inside. If you catch them at the right time, you’ll be able to pick your own strawberries and blueberries!

(Side note – their strawberries are amazing! They’re always so juicy and dark red – my favorite!)

I usually visit William’s Farm Stand’s ice cream shop multiple times throughout the summer. A few days ago, after I got out of work, my parents and I headed over around 8pm for ice cream. We weren’t planning on watching the sunset, but it turns out the sun sets behind the trees to the left of the stand perfectly during the summer!

I had ordered their special feature: a strawberry sundae with chocolate ice cream and hot fudge. It was amazing!! They had used their own home grown strawberries to make a sauce and it was heavenly. I definitely recommend ordering this if it’s still strawberry season!

We ate our ice cream on the tailgate of our truck since all of the seating was full. I wasn’t really paying attention to the sky, but the sunset caught my mom’s eye and pointed it out to us. It was so beautiful. The sun was setting over the land that William’s Farm Stand sits on, and went down in between the spaces of the trees, and painted the sky a scarlet red!

This was such a beautiful and relaxing way to end a stressful day! I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of William’s Farm Stand as a sunset spot before! That definitely makes this little place a hidden gem. I’m not sure how great the sunset is here in the winter since the sun’s position will be different & it will most likely be cloudy, so be sure to check this sunset out in the summertime!
