Cornell Botanical Gardens

Cornell Botanical Gardens is a beautiful little gem located right near Cornell University’s campus. Admission is free, all you have to do is park and walk up! My friend and I happened to come across this little place accidentally while on our way to Robert H. Treman waterfall! What caught our eye were the sunflowers that it had, so we decided to take a pit stop. This happened to be a satellite of the Cornell Botanical Garden, yet there were still signs labeling it as so.

There were other beautiful flowers as well, as you can see to the left, however I’m not familiar with their names.

This is a great destination year round. Visit their website to see what plants are in season when you make your trip!

If you’re planning on visiting Cornell Botanical Gardens and you’re visiting from out of town, I recommend adding a waterfall to your agenda. (Fun Fact : Ithaca has over 150 waterfalls in ten square miles!) This will make your trip more worthwhile since you can only spend so much time in a garden! Some of the waterfalls are an all day adventure while others are more of a short visit, it all depends on what you make of it. Here is the location for Cornell Botanical Garden : 124 Comstock Knoll Drive, Ithaca, New York, 14850. However, the place my friend and I found, which I talked about above, is a satellite of the garden. There were signs that told us this. This is the location for the satellite : 42.4625, -76.4438. The satellite is on the side of Freese Road, so keep your eye out!
